July 29, 2016 – Louisiana Fishing Trip Reports

Went on vacation with the family in mid-July, but when I got back it was right back to work and chasing those big Louisiana Redfish that we have down here by the thousands. Fishing with me on July 28-29, was David Bates and his friend since childhood, Dr. Mark. David fishes with me several times each year, using both fly and conventional gear, and he like a good tug on the line. Well, as usual, he was not disappointed. The guys put a whipping on the big Louisiana Redfish both days, with David catching most of his fish on topwater lures. It doesn’t get much better in the fishing world than watching a 20-30 pound redfish explode on a lure on the surface. This type of action will continue throughout the rest of the summer and into fall, so its not too late to get in on the action. Call me at 504-382-2711.
