And so it continues. We are still catching lots of big Louisiana Bull Redfish on most of our trips. The last two days I fished a 2 boat Louisiana Fishing Trip with my good friend Capt. Bobby Warren. These guys wanted big redfish, and they got big redfish. Give us a call at 504-382-2711 to book your trip today.

August 13-15, 2017 Louisiana Fishing Trip Report
The last several days I had Mike Roth down from Pennsylvania for some Louisiana Fly Fishing. Mike has been fly fishing with me for years, but never for the big Bull Redfish during the Summer. Fortunately, the weather was cooperative and he got to see just how good Summer fishing can be. Mike caught numerous Bull Redfish over 20 pounds on his fly rod, with most coming on surface flies. To say that Venice, Louisiana is the “Redfish Capital of the World”, is an understatement. It’s more like the “Redfish Capital of the Universe”. If you’ve experienced Louisiana Redfishing, we would love to show you what real Louisiana Redfishing is all about. Give me a call at 504-382-2711.

March 2017 – Louisiana Fishing Trip Report

If you want to catch a redfish fly fishing in Louisiana, March can be a great time. March is a transitional time here in Southeast Louisiana. The weather starts to warm and for the angler lucky enough to be here when the fish come out of their Winter haunts, the fishing can be fantastic. Nothing like being able to cast at a hungry redfish looking for their first good meal of the Spring.
January-February 2017 – Louisiana Fishing Trip Report
Not everyone thinks about Louisiana redfish fishing during the cold months of January and February, but the truth is, these can be some of our most productive days on the Louisiana marsh when the conditions are right. The key to having a productive trip is to have a guide with local knowledge of the fishery. We fish our waters 12 months out of the year, so we know where we need to go to give you the best opportunity at a successful trip. The fish may not always bite, but it won’t be because we are not where they are.
December 31, 2016 – Louisiana Fishing Trip Report
Its been a cold December, but that has not stopped us from putting clients on fish on our Louisiana Fishing and fly fishing trips. On December 30-31, I had Ciara Huntington and her dad down to do a little fly fishing and duck hunting combination trip. Unfortunately, we had a strong cold front move into the area and this made the conditions down right tough. It was very cold for fishing and the gusty winds blew all of the water out of the marsh, basically leaving no water around the duck blinds. With that being said, we still did scramble and put together some fish and the duck guides worked hard to get them on some birds. Just finished up a 2 day of Louisiana Fly Fishing trip with my friend and client David Bates. Day 1 was as epic bite on 8-10 pound Louisiana redfish in the Louisiana marsh, countless numbers of redfish taking the fly. it never gets old seeing fish in crystal clear skinny water pounce on a fly when the see it. On day 2 we decided to go look for a few big fish and we were rewarded with a nice fish pushing 40 pounds, as well as several others in the 20+ pound range. If you would like to get in on some Louisiana fly fishing with a born and raised Louisiana fishing guide, do yourself a favor a call 504-382-2711.

We had John Irwin and his crew down for a few days of Louisiana Redfish fly fishing. I had a tough go of it and just could not seem to be in the right place at the right time, fortunately Captains Bobby and Eddie took up my slack and had some very good fish brought to the boat over the 3 days. November 3, 2016 – Louisiana Fishing Trip Report
This is what it’s all about. Halloween Monday I had Chase Isaminger who brought down his 7 year old son Evan for his first Louisiana Fishing Trip for big Louisiana Redfish. Evan went from beginner to advanced in only a few short hours and when I watched him hold on to the rod all by himself as a 20+ pound red hammered his jig and take off stripping line off the reel, I knew we had a fisherman for life. It’s all about smiles, not fish piles for me, and thankfully there are alot of anglers out there that feel the same way. We still have some days open.
